Bizarre, static and yet constantly, imperceptibly shifting towards new
forms, the music on Inflammatory Haircut eschews easy genre
categorization in favor of pure, abstract sound. Instruments lose their
identity and take on shimmering, alien new forms and but up against
vaporous reverb and gelatinous synths. The worlds contained within
Martian Hello's debut are constantly evolving, with each living sonic
sculpture speckled with jarring and surprising details newly revealing
themselves upon each listen. Inflammatory Haircut is an album constantly
in flux, and will live on, mutating and gestating, as time goes by.

Zachary Zena Giberson :

knew perfectly well that there was silence in his
ears... just think about it, with sliced "you," who cares about those.
Zachary Zena Giberson had finally crossed the common creatures from his
mind — and was now full. There was no way back. Zachary Zena Giberson
shouted over and over, trying hard to say something, anything, however
faint. It seemed impossible now that he was a violent shade of violet,
however. Difficult to believe: there was resentment taking his hands and
knees. It was difficult to disentangle himself from the kitchen, but he
still seemed perfectly, audibly, vaguely, heard. Zachary Zena Giberson
had finally emptied, and became aware.
